Sage walked past the training mats and headed toward the locker rooms he paused and turned back to Rowen. "Hey, Rowen just sit on the bleachers you can watch from there," Rowen nodded and sat down.
Rowen watched the older kids as they trained some in their mid 30's he could beat them all with ease so why
was he so dang scared of Cain?

Sage came back about 10 min later trailing behind his father they where talking about a major Compton
coming up and the master was trying to convince his son to enter. Sage nodded a light hello to Rowen before going to the mat where Cain was already stretching out.

Rowen's eyes seem to follow the mysterious fighters every more watching him as he warmed up Rowen
quickly realized Sage could take this guy with ease but why didn't he. Rowen would have to ask Sage later.

"Students." Master Date called.

Everyone stood side by side arms length apart. Each student gave the master they're full focus.
Sage stood next to Cain which sucked because he knew his father would pair them together for training.

"Attention," the master said
Everyone stood straight hands by they're side.

"Salute," the master said
the class bowed and placed a their hands on top of the other hand a saluted the master.

"Bow" the master ordered
Each member of the class bowed in perfect unison.

"Today we have 2 new members joining the class, Akema Shini and Kayla Banks. Akema is from Toyama and goes to the high school their some of you may know here and Kayla is from Concord North Carolina in the United States of North America. Her Japanese is slightly garbled but her
skills as a fighter are out standing make them feel welcome but remember this is a class we haven't the time to talk understood?" Sage's father said

"Sir, Yes, Sir" the whole class said in unison.

"Very good Kayla go stand beside Sage Date, remember arms length apart. Akema since you have no training experience you will watch the first class. go and sit on the bleachers and watch," the master ordered

Kayla walked over and stood next to Sage making sure she was arms length apart she glanced at the young man beside her. His eyes were focused forward alert and dangerous and his eyes where violet she'd never seen someone with such beautiful eyes.

Akema sat down next to Rowen her father had made her take these classes. He said it would make her tougher. Akema loved her dad so she went to the class even though she was a someone who hated fighting. Akema looked at Rowen his eyes were focused on Sage. He was alert and knew she was there but really didn't care too much.

"Hey," Akema whispered to Rowen

Rowen looked over at her surprised she'd even dared talk while class was in session.
Rowen held a finger to his lips shushing her, telling her to hush.

"Are you in this class?" Akema asked ignoring Rowen's warning.

Rowen shook his head no and again warned her to hush.

Akema looked angry he wouldn't talk to her she was only trying to make friends.
Akema looked back at the class and started watching as they did their class warm-ups.

part. 2
ch. 3
************
Almost 4 hours after the class had begun most of the older and younger class members had taken
a break and now the bleachers where full. Sage and Cain where the only 2 left standing.

"Begin!" the master ordered

Both Sage and Cain picked up their swords and fell into fighting stances eyes locked on each other.

Rowen held his breath he knew Sage was no where near 100% but he had faith in his best friend.
Rowen’s hands where clenched into tight fist.

Sage held his place and waited on Cain to make the first move.

Cain darted forward and swung the sword in a large C formation.
Sage quickly blocked and kicked Cain in the belly.
Cain took a step back and darted forward his attack aimed for Sage's chest.
Sage blocked again the tip of the sword only nipping his chin he spun around and hit Cain in the back with the sword he turned the sword broad side so the blade didn't touch Cain only the hard alloy of the sword its self.
Cain when nuts at the fact Sage landed what could have been a fatal blow he exploded and hit sage hard in the face, in the eye blinding him for a moment. Cain knocked the sword for Sages hand and
then all hell broke loose. What had started out as training had turned into nothing less of a bar brawl, or a blood bath.

Rowen stared in disbelief.

Sage finally with blurred vision reacted he drew his legs up against his chest and kicked Cain hard in the chest.

Cain flew back and literally hit the wall.

Sage picked up the sword and held it to Cain's neck.

"Point scored Sage wins" the master said calmly.

Sage tossed the sword aside and walked over to where Rowen was and sat down next to him not a saying a word. Rowen looked very worried not that Sage could tell. His vision was still very blurry he held a cool rag to his eyes and as if he could tell what Rowen was about to ask he answered for him.
"I'm fine Rowen, "Sage smiled softly and reassuringly to his best friend.

"We should go home," Rowen told Sage unable to hide his worry.

"Class will be over soon, Rowen you can start home though if you want."

Rowen shook his head no. "Ain’t no way I'm leaving."

"Class come forward," the master order.

Everyone got off the bleachers except Rowen and Akema.

Sage stood next to Cain both too exhausted to be mad.

"Class today we are going to start something new we will pair up with members of the class and train days you do not train here understood?" the master question.

The class nodded.

The master got a list.

"Sage Date you and Kayla will get Akema up to where we are now under stood?" Both Sage and Kayla nod.

Akema grins. "I get to work with that hottie. What did he say his name was?" she asked Rowen.

Rowen ignores her.

The master read on down the list once done he stated "Class dismissed"

Everyone turned and exited quickly even Cain.

Sage walked over to Rowen and Akema, Kayla followed behind him.

Rowen stood as Sage approached
"Are you alright?" Rowen asked.
Sage took hold of Rowen's arm to keep from loosing his balance his
vision had yet to return. "Yeah Rowen I'm fine"
"That was an awesome fight, Sage," Kayla spoke her Japanese a lot better then Sage's dad had given' her credit for.

"Thank you" Sage responded.

"I'm Akema" she stated not caring if she was interrupting a conversation.

Kayla looked annoyed but reminded silent.

Rowen looked ticked, Sage was first and foremost on his mind and make sure he was OK was more important then talking.

Sage however polite as ever responded with a smile.
"Nice to meet you I'm Sage Date," he said extending his hand. "And this is Rowen Hashiba"

Akema shook his hand happily.

"I live in a big house so training there would be best," Sage said
Everyone nodded in agreement. Sage gave them directions and told them a time to meet. With that each went their own way.
Rowen let Sage hold on to his arm. "Are you sure you ok?" Rowen asked in concern. "I'm fine nothing rest and a shower won’t cure" Sage assured him as they headed home.
