Ch. 4

Part. 1

Rowen kept a concerned eye on Sage the entire walk home. His eyes held worry and UN easiness. Sage had said he was fine yet he almost fell on his face because he tripped over his own feet. That in it's self was enough to get Rowen worried.

Sage could hear Cye Yelling at Kento so he knew he was almost home his vision was slowly coming back to normal he could now see enough to see the giant tiger laying on the porch which was a good thing. White Blaze didn't like his tail stepped on."I'm fine Rowen, don't tell anyone about what happened in training today. You know they'll want to fuss about it" Sage whispered to Rowen as they approached the house. Rowen started to argued but gave up and nodded reluctantly "All right Sage I won't tell them but let me come with you next week when you train fair?"Rowen asked."Fair" Sage agreed.

"Hey guys!"Yuli yelled as he saw Sage and Rowen coming up the drive way. Sage let go of Rowen's arm and casually put his arm over his shoulders that way Rowen could still guide him but holding his arm made Sage's injury much more obvious."Hey Yuli"Sage responded in his normal happy tone the 7 year old boy had almost be came to be a member of the family. Rowen waved at Yuli.

Sage could make out Ryo leaning agent a tree relived Yuli had someone else to bother-I mean play with. He was wearing that save cotton red sweater that he wore almost every other day. Rowen constantly commented on how much he regretted buying the sweater for Ryo. Sage knew Rowen better then that and could tell he was delighted that Ryo liked his birth day gift so much.

Sage could spell the food cooking and so he knew Cye was in the kitchen cooking dinner which ment Kento wouldn't be far behind he expected to hear Cye yell at Kento and chace him out of the kitchen it was almost a ritual by now. Cye cooks, Kento pisses him off, Cye chases Kento out of the kitchen with a frying pan.

"KENTO GET OUT OF HERE!!!" Cye shouted.

Right on time Sage thought to him self. He let his arm slide off Rowen's shoulders and walked in the house by him self his vision getting increasing better he went into the living room and sat down."Hey Ryo, Cye, Kento can you guys come here for a sec."?! Sage yelled.

Cye came out of the kitchen his sandy blonde hair pulled back so not to get in the way of his cooking. Kento came back in the house Yuli on his back. Yuli giggling. Ryo and Rowen came in about the same time the topic of conversion the red sweater Ryo was wearing again.

"OK I'm going to start training here every other day, For about 4 hours each day 2 other students will be coming from the Dojo so would it be possible for ya'll to clear out for about hour every other day?"Sage asked.

"fine with me"Ryo said.

"Sure I can eat at burger king" Kento echoed

"sure I can just sat out the food and be back in time to cook with plenty of time to spare"Cye responded

"OK that's all I wanted to know thanks" Sage said.

Everyone went back to what ever it was they where doing at the time, except for Rowen who sat down next to Sage still worried. Sage picked up a book and started reading. Sage could feel Rowen's eyes on him but said nothing for almost an hour when he finally stated."Rowen, I am fine my vision is back to normal so don't worry, pick up a book and read or something'" Sage encouraged Rowen.

Rowen sighed and picked up a book about 3000 pages long called 'advanced physics our one true love' flipped to page 1500 where he'd stopped reading earlier and began to read again.

Ch. 4

Part. 2

*Buzz buzz* the Alarm clock went off at 3:45 am Rowen was asleep as the sound didn't do anything but add sound effects to his dream. Same dream as always though now with horrid sound effects the Buzzing of the alarm clock seemed to be in his head. His father came towards him again a bear bottle in one hand and a baseball bat in the other Rowen felt like he was watching a movie he could see him self slightly young curled up in a cornor.Arms around his face trying to shield him self. He could see the pain and fear in his own eyes masked some by the blood streaming down his face. His father swung the bat the cold mettle bat at his head. Rowen watched as the bat made contact. he felt a cold something on his for head and sat blot right in the bed. Rowen looked around terrified.

"easy, easy"

Rowen heard a voice but didn't know where it came from but just the same he Struggled to focus on the words and as his breathing slowed and his eyes came back to focus he found him self nose to nose with 2 very dangerous but concerned violet eyes.

"Easy" Sage repeated he was holding Both of Rowen's arms pining them to his side.

Sage tried to get Rowen to focus on him.

"Your safe"Sage repeated.

When Rowen released where he was he felt like someone had just taken a noose from around his neck.

Sage sat on the side of his bed wearing a pair of green pajama pants his beautiful blonde hair was a mess. Which summed it up Sage had been woke up by Rowen other wise his hair would have been done? Sage can't stand to let his hair look messy.

"your alright,Rowen,your safe, I'm here"Sage repeated the 3 key phrases

Rowen slowly nodded and relaxed a bit.

Rowen just looked at his best friend a struggled to say something a few times before finally managing to speak.

"Sage."...? Rowen spoke his voice trembleing as he said the name of his best firend a crystal blue tear sliped past Rowens defences and drifted down Rowens pale face.

Sage almost on instintic brushed Rowen's blue hair away from his face so he could see his entire face.

"I know.."Sage spoke simply "I know"

Rowen forced him self to stop his crying and to speak like a normal person.

"Sage, I'm sorry if I woke you up I guess I wasn't back to normal after seeing him again huh"?Clearly hideing the fact that he remembered what happened that night hadn't made it go away.

Sage smiled gently

"don't worry about, I was about ready to get up any way Akema and Kayla will be here at 5:00 this morning" Sage stated

Rowen looks at the clock still buzzing and hits the off button.

"Sage it's only 3:45" Rowen pointed out.

"Yeah I know I wanted time to get up and shower and train for a few min before they got here" Sage responded.

Rowen sighed he wasn't getting back to sleep today so he might as well get up.

Sage got off Rowen's bed.

"I'm gonna take a shower OK" Sage asked

"Sure, save some hot water for me" Rowen said and started to add leave the door open a crack but figured it would sound to childish so he stopped.

"I'll save ya some hot water" he assured him and headed for the bath room.

Rowen picked up a book and started reading he watched Sage as he headed for the bathroom and smiled notice Sage left the door open a crack. Ryo had once pointed out the 2 of them could almost read each others minds.

Rowen laughed maybe Ryo was right.

Ch. 4

part. 3

Rowen came down the steps, about 4:25 am. Rowen paused and glanced down the hall Mia and Ryo's door was shut who where they fooling they still acted like just friends but there wasn't a person that hadn't heard them sneaking down the hall to each other's rooms every night. He glanced the other hall way and noticed Cye and Kento's door was shut and silent except the steady hum of the fish tanks Cye kept running daily. Rowen had never figured out how Kento slept at all with that humming all night long.

Rowen paused hearing the sound of Sage training in the front yard. Rowen glanced out the window the sun was just coming up Sage would be glad about that. Sage always seemed happier when the sun was shinning often called the warrior of light. That name made sense to Rowen. However Rowen was the opposite of that he liked the Night. Rowen would lay for hours in bed long after Sage had drifted off to sleep simply content to watch the stars though the Sky light over his bed.

Rowen walked out side pausing on the porch to slip some shoes on. He walked over to Sage standing about 2 feet from Sage he stood there hands in the pockets of his toyama high school jacket, Content to watch him train he knew from experience Sage didn't like to be interrupted.

Sage paused noticing White blaze who was on the porch lift his head and look to the road.

Sage followed the cats gaze and turned to the road noticing a black pick up truck pulling off the road and turning into the drive way.

Rowen seemed confused wondering what they where looking at.

"Oh" Rowen says suddenly noticing the truck.

Sage glanced at Rowen and almost laughs. "Ya just now saw the truck?" Sage asked surprised

"uh-hu"Rowen answered with a nod

"you should train with us sharpen your senses more" Sage suggested

Rowen shook his head no thanks.

The truck stopped. Akema got out first she wore a pair of extreamly tight leather pants and a tight halter top. Sage blinked that was defiantly not, training apparel.

Kayla got out next wearing a karate Jacket and karate pants similar to the outfit Sage wore only difference was, Sage and Kayla had different signs on the back of their jackets and Sage wore a black belt with 4 pieces of red tape on the end and Kayla's belt only had 3 pieces of red tape.

"I tried to tell her" was all Kayla said in response to Sage's face when he saw Akema.

"Tell me what"Akema retorted

"Look at him he's not dressed in what your wearing" Akema added referring to the fact that Rowen was wearing blue jeans and a blue T-shirt that read N.A.S.A and his jacket from school.

"He's not training" Sage responded before Rowen had a chance to.

"Why not" Akema said "Scared he'll get hurt, corse he might he's not as strong as you" She said looking at Sage batting her eye lashes at him.

Sage made a face. Rowen tried not to growl at her it had not been a good day for him he did not need some girl making fun of him and distracting Sage by flirting with him.

Sage doesn't say any thing he just turned and jogged back in the house jumping over the tiger her growled in response.

"Where's he going?"Akema asked sounding hurt, she froze mid sentence seeing the large white tiger causally laying on the front porch.

"to get away from you" Rowen responded ignoring the tiger

"You have a tiger" Kayla asked with a grin.

"We'll I don't, White Blaze belongs to Ryo he's one of our room mates" Rowen explained in a kinder tone to Kayla.

"Cool" Kayla responded.

Rowen nodded.

Sage came into view holding something in his hand he jumped over the tiger who growled again and tossed what was in his hands to Akema.

Akema caught one of the things, a pink loose T-shirt, the idem on the ground where a pair of loose sweat pants.

She looks at Sage confused.

"Go get changed the bath room is down the hall to the right 3rd door" Sage responded without looking up from taking off his shoes.

"But whats wrong with what I wearing, don't you like it " Akema whined.

Sage looked up Rowen could tell by the look he was mad.

"No, I don't, now go changed I am the most experienced fighter here. So I'm pulling rank, go change and if you chose not to today then don't come back on wed." Sage responded annoyance and anger in his voice.

"OK" Akema whined she started for the house but froze seeing the tiger.

"w-what about her"

The male tiger growled angrily.

"I'd suggest you run"Rowen said calmly

Akema took off into the house.

Sage laughed and looked at Rowen he was laughing too.

Kayla seemed surprised. "I'm glad someone finally shut her up"

Rowen nodded in agreement and climbed a near by tree to watch them train.
