DAY OF DESTINY
CHAPTER 2

Katie woke up and went down stairs for breakfast. The other guys were all ready down stairs and eating breakfast. "Damn I hope Kento left me something to eat!" Katie said to herself as she came down the stairs and in to the kitchen.

"Good morning Katie." Sai said as he saw her come in to the kitchen.

"Good morning beautiful." Ryo said when he saw her and she gave him smile and sat down next to him.

"What happened to you? "Bad hair day?" Sage said and laughed.
Ryo gave him a glare and he stopped laughing.

"Hah, hah. Shut up." Katie said and gave him a glare as well.

Breakfast went as usual. Kento had 4 plates of food and then ate everybody's left overs. After that they all went their separate ways and did different things. Katie went to the barn that they used to practice in and practiced cheers and also practiced for the gymnastics competition that was coming up in a month. The guys went outside and played football.

It was a nice warm sunny May Day and everyone was enjoying it. Even white blaze and Raza where having fun running after the ball when it came there way. Then Ryo and the others would chase them down as they tried to get the ball back from them. Yup everyone was having fun. Except for Mia who was at the collage once again for early morning classes.

Katie had been practicing for about an hour now and was getting tired. She was just about to leave when she thought she saw someone. Thinking it might be someone from the dynasty she took off after the person. The person took off running and then disappeared. Katie just stood there for a min. not knowing what had just happened.

"Ok what just happened?" She asked herself out loud. "That was way weird!" She sat down and kept looking at the place where the man had disappeared. She didn’t know weather she should sit and wait or run like hell. She decided just to sit and did.

Soon afterwards the man appeared again. He walked over to Katie so that she could see that he was not an enemy. Katie jumped up and took a fighting pose.

"Who are you?" She asked him. The man was about was about 5’7 and had light brown hair and brown eyes. He was kind of built and was very cute. He stood there for a min. and then answered her.

"Are you Katie? He asked and looked at her. He wasn’t mean looking, actually Katie thought he looked very nice.

"Yah who wants to know?" She asked and gave him a look like don’t mess with me.

"Good I thought you were. I am keno and I was sent here to protect you." He answered and gave a bow. Katie looked at him and eased out of her fighting pose. She didn’t think he was of any threat to her.

"What do you mean sent here to protect me and who sent you?" She asked.

"I can’t tell you too much info. right now, but when I can I will. He answered.

"What do you mean you can’t tell me?" She asked.

"There is someone out there who is after you and if I tell you too much then he will have a reason to get you." He answered and gave her a look of concern.

"Ok, let me get this straight. There’s some weirdo out there trying to get me and if you tell too much then he will come and get me?"

"Yes." He answered.

"Hah do you know who I am? I am Katie Maxwell bearer of the wildwind armor, feared by the dynasty. There is no way that he would even get close to me." She answered him and gave him a look like I’m the greatest.

"Yes I know all about you and you are very strong, but the someone I’m talking about is way stronger then you."

"No way!" She yelled at him.

"Yes and unless I help you will become one of his slaves. Understand?" He asked her.

"Not really. How can any one be stronger than me? I don’t get it." She said and bit her lip.

"I know. Your probably thinking this guy is nuts to even consider someone being stronger than you, but there is and that’s why I’m here. To help you get stronger so that you can defeat him when the time comes." He looked at her and gave her this weird look.

"Actually I was thinking about something else, but never mind." And she gave him a smile.

"Well whatever. I have told you all I can." And with that he turned and started walking.

"Hey wait how will I be able to talk to you if I need to?" Katie yelled after him.

"Just say my name I’ll hear you and come." He said and disappeared.

"Huh, he was weird. Someone actually stronger than me. That’s a laugh." She said out loud to her self as she walked towards the door.

Somewhere else
"Huh well its about time they got that keno out there with her. Do they really think that he’s going to keep me away from her? They have got to be joking." He said as he watched Katie in his mirror. "It doesn't matter who they send out to protect her, they can’t save her. She can still be mine."

"Kayo!" He shouted.
"Yes master. A man with reddish brown hair that was kind of short with midnight blue eyes came forth.

"I want you to come up with a plan to capture Katie." The other man said and gave him an evil grin.

"Yes master." And with that he disappeared to go make a plan.

The other man turned back to watching Katie in his mirror. "Good. Very soon Katie will be mine.

Back with Katie

Katie had come in and sat down next Ryo. Ryo put his arm around her and held her tight. Katie was very tired and so feeling very safe there in Ryo’s arms fell asleep.

"Boy, Katie must have worked herself to death if she’s that tired." Kento said as he came in and sat down with a plate full of food. "She didn’t even eat her cookies that Sai made her."

"She’s not like you Kento. She doesn't just eat everything in site." Sage said and everyone but Kento laughed.

"Very funny sage! Can’t you see I'm laughing!" Kento said and began eating his food.

"Yah but its not like Katie to just work herself to death like this. I think something's wrong." Ryo said and looked down at the sleeping beauty in his arms.

"Yah but maybe she just wanted to prove that Courtney wrong. She’s always saying how Katie shouldn’t be a cheerleader." Rowen said and looked up from his book to look at katie and then went back to reading his book.

"Yah maybe your right. Maybe she did. It seems like her." Ryo said and turned his head to watch TV.

Just then Mia came in the door along with Raza and Whiteblaze. Raza went over to Katie to see if she was all right and after seeing that she was just sleeping laid down next to her feet. White blaze came in and laid down next to Raza and went to sleep.

"Hey what's up with Katie?" Mia asked looking at her.

"Ahh she just practiced a little too much today and is just tired." Ryo answered looking at Mia.

"Ohh, that's just like her to do that." Mia said and went back to what she was doing.

Katie woke some time later to Sage, Rowen, Kento, and Sai hollering and laughing. She figured they were playing either the nintendo64 or the playstation. She decided to turn over and see what all the fuss was about just to make sure. Just like she thought they were playing the nintendo64. Ryo felt her move and looked over at her and gave her a smile. She then remembered that she had fallen asleep in Ryo's arms and put her head back on his chest.

"Hey look guys sleeping beauty has awakened." She heard sage say and then start laughing. She made a mental note to herself to get back at him later.

"So she has." She heard Rowen say.

Raza came over and jumped up on the couch next to Katie. Then she leaned over and licked her face.

"Hey Raza, I don't need a shower." Katie growled as she wiped her face. Raza gave her a sad look and Katie gave her a hug. Then she looked at her and Raza licked her face again.

"Razz, what did I tell you about licking me?" She yelled at her tiger.

Razz seemed to know she was in big trouble and jumped off the couch and ran for the door. Katie just looked at her retreating tiger and thought about what a coward she was. Then got off the couch and went to her room. She went to her stereo and turned it on. Then 10 minutes later there was a knock at the door.

"Come in." She yelled hoping the person could hear over the sound of the radio. Luckily the person did and came in. It was Ryo.

"Hey I was just wondering if you..I mean if you wanted to..." Ryo stuttered.

"What is it, Ryo?" Katie asked and walked over to him and put her arms around his neck.

"I was just wondering if you wanted to go out and do something tonight. Since I'm always doing something and we never get too much time alone." Ryo answered and smiled at her.

"I'd love to." Katie said and gave him another kiss.

"Cool ok, how about in an hour?" Ryo asked her.

"That sounds great." She answered and shook her head.

"Ok." And with that he kissed her and went out of the room and down stairs.

Katie sighed to herself and smiled. She didn't know what it was about him that made her feel this way. All giddy and like she was floating on air. "Maybe its his eyes?" She thought to herself. Well she didn't care what it was.

Ryo went down stairs with a huge smile on his face.

"So, what did she say?" Asked sage as he looked at him.

"She said yes of course." Roy said gave him a huge smile that said I got her and you didn't. Sage didn't say anything else. Everyone was quite until Mia came in and yelled for Katie.

"Katie get down her right now!!" Mia yelled at her.

Katie came down out of her room and down stairs.
"What, Mia?" Katie asked and smiled at her.

"Your tiger is digging in my back yard again." She said and looked like she was going to kill her.

"Ok, ok I’ll go get her." She said and ran to get her tiger. She found her in the back yard digging a huge whole. "Raza, get out of there! Stop that before you get Mia on you!" Her tiger turned around to look at her. She then stopped digging and ran over to her. "Keep digging wholes and Mia’s gonna put you in one of them one of these days." She shook hear head and thought about that for a minute. “Now stop digging holes and go play or do something. Raza gave her a look, but obediently went off to do something.

Katie turned back to the huge whole that was now in Mia's back yard. "Oohh Mia's going to kill me for sure." Just then Katie got the feeling like she was being watched. She stood still and looked around trying to see if she could see any one or thing. A few minutes later the feeling went away. "Huh, it was probably just my imagination." She shook her head and went back inside.

"Did you take care of her?" Mia asked as soon as she saw her.

"Yah, I don't know why she does that." Katie said and gave her a puzzled look.

"Thank you." She said and went up the stairs and in to her room.

"This has been a pretty weird day." Katie said out loud. Only after she said she noticed that she had said it out loud and all the guys were looking at her.

"What makes you say that Katie?" She heard Sai ask her.

She looked up at him and shook her head. "Nothing I was just talking to my self. I didn't mean anything by it. She said as she waved her arms in front of her and retreated back up stairs to her room.

"I told you guys something was wrong with her, but nooo do you guys ever listen to me." Kento said and made a mocking face.

"I hate to admit, but you were right. Katie is acting very weird." Sage said and turned to Ryo. "Hey she's your girlfriend you talk to her."

"I will, just not right now." He said and then got up and went up stairs to his room. He had a date in an hour and had to get ready. He wouldn't ask her yet, but he definitely would.


Katie was in her room sitting on her bed holding her favorite stuffed animal. It was a fluffy white cat that her mother had given her. "I wish I could tell them, but somehow I just can't. Holds cat up to her face. What would mom tell me to do?

(Thought you might want to know this note: Katie's mom died in a car crash. Katie and her mom were going shopping and were when a car ran a red light and hit their car. they were both rushed to the hospital. Katie had been on the other side and had less injuries. Her mother had a concussion, internal bleeding, and her ribs were fractured. The doctors sad that they could only slow down the internal bleeding and because of how much blood she had lost and the fractured ribs the gave her 2 days at the most. Katie woke up the next day in the hospital. Her father told her about her mother and Katie had demanded to see her. They let her. She went in and sat next to her mother. Her mother opened her eyes and smiled at her daughter. She told her that she loved her and would always be there whenever she needed her. She died that day. Katie has never gotten over her mothers death and some how blames herself for it. Its been almost 3 years since then and Katie is turning 16. Just thought I might add that in. ~_~)


Katie sat there holding her cat for a few more minutes and then remembered that she had a date with Ryo in an hour. She got up and started getting around. "Humm what should I wear? Ohh I know!" She grabbed her dark blue mini skirt and blue playboy bunny halter top. "Yah this will be perfect!" She curled her hair and left it down. Then she put on some white glittery eye shadow and black mascara. Pink lipstick and for shoes.... well she found some dark blue high heels. She took one final look in the mirror and decided she looked ok and went down stairs.

Ryo was already down stairs when she came down. He looked at her and couldn't say anything. Sage feel off the couch and Kento dropped his food. Rowen stopped reading his book and Sai stopped watching TV. Katie just shook her head and looked at them.

"Wow you look great!" Ryo said finally after a couple of minutes.

"Thanks." Katie said and smiled. "It was all I could find."

"Well it works for me." Ryo said and escorted her out of the house.

"That should have been me instead of Ryo. What does he have that I don't?" Sage asked and got up from the floor.

"Well I guess something cuz he's the one who's going out with Katie and your not." Answered Rowen.

"What's that suppose to mean Mr. know it all?" Sage asked with a smirk.

"It means he's got the beautiful girl and you've got nothing. That’s what it means." Rowen answered back with a smirk and continued to read.

"Oooo whatever. It’s not like you have a girlfriend or anything like that!" And with that Sage went up to his room and slammed the door.

"Let me guess. Katie went out on a date with Ryo and sage got jealous again?" Asked Mia who had just come through the door in time to hear Sage slam the door.

"Yup." All three said in unison.

"Figures." Was all Mia said.
