Chapter 1 Sage's Dream

Sage woke up with a heavy sweat on his forehead, he
looked toward the window in his and Rowen's room and
saw over the hills far away the faint light of the sun
coming up. He looked at the clock to see what time it
was, it was 6:29 a.m. and he couldn't get over the
dream he just had before he woke up. All he remembered
was a black tiger walking across the street he and the
others always walk down after school to meet Yuli, a
girl that owned the black tiger was getting ready to
cross the street with a cheetah, a snow white leopard
and a panther, when a yellow car came speeding down.
All of a sudden the girl ran out and pushed the cat to
safety at the same time getting hit by the car, he
didn't remember anything else. Just then the alarm
went off.
All morning he was troubled by that dream it was
hard enough that he had to remember formulas for a
test in math, but when he tried to think of the one
formula that he needed before he left for school the
dream would come up again.
"What's wrong, Sage?" asked Rowen when they where
going to school.
"Uh, oh it's just a dream I had early this morning,
it just keeps on haunting me when I try to think.” he
said.
"Well, why don't you tell us about it." said Ryo
looking in the rearview mirror in the jeep.
Sage told all about the dream and that the whole
thing seemed so real that he just couldn't get it out
of his head.
By the time they got the bell had rung for the
school day to begin and the first class Sage and Cye
had was math. The class seemed to take forever for
Sage, but finally the bell rang to go to his English
class where before class started they had a new
student which the teacher introduced and told to sit
between Sage and Ryo.
"Now, Ryo and Sage you help make her feel at home.
UMMM, what's your name again so I can write it down in
the grade book?" asked the teacher.
"Name’s Comet." she said without smiling.
She sat down where she was told and got settled
down. Sage took one look at her. She seemed beautiful
for a girl that didn't smile alot. That class seemed
to fly.
The boys had the same lunch as the girl. She sat
alone at a table drinking a can of pop that she had
and worked on homework she had from English in no time
she was done. Sage, Rowen and Cye walked over to her
and said hi; she looked up and said hi back to them
went back looking over her homework.
"May we sit here with you?" asked Rowen.
"You don't need to ask it's the school stuff it's
not mine." she said.
The three sat down and begun to talk to her.
"I'm Rowen, this is Cye and Sage."
"I already know Sage I have all my classed with him
in it, and my name is Comet."
"Nice to meet you Comet. How old are you?" asked
Cye.
"I'm sixteen and you guys?"
"I'm seventeen." said Rowen.
"I'm sixteen." said Sage.
"I'm sixteen too." said Cye.
Just then the bell rang and Sage and Comet walked
to their next class together. The rest of the classes
flew by, the guys went home, dropped their books off,
and went to pick up Yuli from his bus stop.

When walking back the guys looked towards the street
and the cat that Sage saw in his dreams was crossing
the street. Sage's heart went cold, they looked to the
other side and saw Comet getting ready to walk across
the street. It went so fast that by the time it was
over Sage's dream that he had, had came true. Ryo
called 911 and said that there was a girl hit by a
car.
